My Glass of Wine

Standing here with my glass of wine
Wonder if he’ll come over to dine
I don’t know about him anymore
Since he walked out the door
My hand on the banister, I think I’ll fall
The phone hasn’t rung, why won’t he call
Taking another sip from my glass
I wonder if this will be my last
Walking slowly down the stairs
I don’t think anyone even cares
My head is spinning, I feel tipsy
Realizing like my heart, my glass is empty.
