Poetry in motion
My "heart's" like an ocean

Made out of tears
On it swim my fears

Hope is an island so small
Of it any moment I may fall

Faith is a tiny palm tree
To slight to even shade me

Pain's the name of the shark
Trying to leave more then a mark

On this soul that's badly scarred
By many things hiding in the dark

Friendship is a dolphin, I can see
Swimming around, trying to defend me

Love's a siren sitting on a rock
Laughing and waving, just to mock

The ghost ship Evil is evr close
Out of the sea it one day arose

Lies are the sailors on this boat
Cruelty is the one in the captain's coat

Deceit id the flag they sail under
Oh, the noise! I can hear the thunder

Trust was shattered a long time ago
By a big storm that's not letting go

Trying to make it whole once more
Lightning strikes, broken it falls to the floor

Loyalty is concealed deep in a cave
From being discovered by an evil knave

Happienes, will be hard to find
It's a black pearl, one of a kind

Bedded in an oyster, in the waters dark
Not even having a distinguishing mark

This is all just a small part
Of the person I am, this is my Heart

~~

Each heart, each soul is unique and special; highly complex things, never to be categorized and pigeon-holed.

Lovely

A poem full of metaphors ~ most quite lucid and effective.
