The first three poems that are here are corresponding poems between a woman I like and my self. We have worked together for about 3 months now, and had began to date, when all of the sudden she backed out. These are poems about how we felt.

‘My Heart’

Its not that I don’t care
Or that I refuse to take this dare
It’s not that I hate you
Or that I mind that people knew
In fact it’s all the other way
Like the sunrise and set of each day
You deserve so much more
Than you broken heart upon this floor
I can’t give to you
My life is such askew
The things that you need
You heart I cannot feed
I can’t give away
And ever to my dismay
My heart belongs to him
And that candle will not dim
I can’t push aside
And to my heart I must abide
The love that I know
For two I cannot show
Please keep in mind
A love I know you will find
I just can’t say goodbye
For his love I’m willing to die
