So here we sit, My heart and I
wondering what we’ve done to bring so much pain
long together we’ve struggled for love,
Long together we’ve watched in vain.

There are times when we think that we’ve found
the love that has escaped us for so long.
But like so many whispering shadows,
those loves seem also gone.

So here we sit, alone again
no one to understand the pain within.
Afraid to try, and try again,
We sit alone, My heart and I.
