My Hidden Angel.

I look for you in the amongst the hidden places,
I call to you from my damaged soul,
I ask for you to come play with me,
So that peace I may at last know.

I listen for your silver laughter,
I long for your tender embrace,
I wish you would come unto me,
I need for you to look upon my worn face.

I hear your whisper in the howling wind,
I am sure I can feel your fleeting touch,
It comforts me but only briefly,
Then its loss once again fires my aching heart.

I hold my breath and listen to the silence,
I close my eyes and search for your heavenly face,
I try and still my demanding nightmares,
So that you may come, sit and maybe stay.

I lost my faith so very long ago,
As the world welcomed me with an eternity of pain,
But my hope in you is always constant,
I know you will come for me someday.

So I await your glorious arrival,
I await your cleansing loving kiss,
I await and hope and search for you always,
You are all that my sanity is.
