I have lain for too many sleepless nights,
My window ever open to the cold draughts,
My body yearning for your astral presence!
My arms have clutched in desperation at air,
Or hugged a lonely pillow against my side

Last night I could endure alone no more,
And sent my ka upon its winged errand,
Across seas and mountain ranges, deserts,
Whole continents, this other me flew on,
To ride a mountain-wind down to you door.

I – my ka – stole into your own, dear room,
And hovered on kherub’s wings above your bed.
Looked down upon your lovely, sleeping face,
Saw the dark wave of hair upon your pillow,
And sighed a sigh of deepest longing…

While you were restless in your dreams,
I swooped down and whispered in you ear.
I spoke you name and – wonder! – you spoke mine.
I drank in the heady musk of your slumbering,
And covered that sweet face of yours with kisses!

I held your head, I pressed my lips to yours,
I forced them wide apart, and you cried out.
But there was no resistance, you recognised
And wanted me as fiercely as you were desired;
So in your dreams you returned each kiss.

No doubt you felt you tossed your covers aside,
But it was I who tugged them free, and gazed
Upon your naked loveliness! From your dimpled chin
And down and downwards, licking, nuzzling, kissing,
Breathing on your bare skin I dared to wander!

I took hold of your breasts, so beautiful, dear to me,
And kissed each night-gilded nipple, roughing lips
Against them in the half-light, licking at them,
Gently blowing them to hardness and to sweet life.
A moan escaped your lips, a sweet, ecstatic sound.

Shall I go on to tell you, or will you remember
From your dreaming, from your wandering asleep,
How I dealt with your delightful, rounded fullness,
How I sucked, and where my astral teethmarks are,
How I came to you as ka-wife, and as ka-lover?

Shall I continue, or can you perhaps recall to mind,
The kisses that I poured upon your belly, your thighs,
Your goddess-blessed womanhood, your labia –
The tracings of my tongue upon you, the longing,
The entering, the way I kissed your darling clitoris?

I with my kherub-form, pressed myself against you,
Pushed myself between your precious legs,
Until we were together, woman-to-astral-woman,
And moved with such abandon and such noise,
I almost feared that you would wake the household!

But we were under some deep enchantment,
That kept our tangling, our cries of love, our moving,
In some bubble outside of time and space.
Your gasps of climax and my silent astral moans
Went unheard by mortal ears, though they shook us!

And afterwards I held you for three hours or more.
My ka was awake, kissing your eyes as you slept,
Murmuring lullabies of love to calm your dreams
And saying your dear name, so you would know
It was no demon visitation, but your own true love.

I was gone before the dawn shot golden rays upon you,
Before you rose, with thoughts of family and home
Recalling you from the paradise of loving dreams.
But tonight it is I who will again leave my window open.
Come, my love, awake and fly to visit me in return!
