Warm breezes blow, in from the south
Slow shadows move, across the sand
As palms fronds gently sway
Like a lover’s caressing hand

Hot, humid, sun kissed air
Swirling bronzed bodies, bikinis unlaced
Full of the sweet, salty tang of the sea
Like a lover’s tender embrace

Gentle gulf waves, heated by summer’s sun
Lap over baked skin, with a sizzling hiss
Constantly breaking on sugar sand beaches
Like a lover’s alluring kiss

My love, the sea, in so many hues
Blending, reflecting, cloudless skies
Turquoise, azure, cerulean blue
Like a lover’s luminous eyes
