MY LOVE FOR HIM

He comes to me with the shy innocence of a small boy,
And takes me with the strength and longing of a man…
Teases me with unspoken promises of what could be,
And leaves me quivering and wanting more.

My dreams are filled with his image…
Only to wake with the longing to touch him – to taste him –
to breathe his essence.
The urge to run from him is overwhelming,
But not so much as my need to be with him.

What matter of spell doeth he cast upon me,
That my mind and my heart should battle so?
I fear for my sanity while basking in the sweet madness
of my love for him.
