My Love Lives Far Away

My love lives far away
In a land I know not
He's sweet, he's kind
He's ever on my mind

"We will meet one day"
He to me and I to him, we say.
But when, my Love
When will that be?"

"Will it be in spring
When the flowers bloom?
Or in the winter
With all it's gloom?"

"Summer, with all it's sunshine?
Oh, my love, that would be sublime
I will hold you in my arms and kiss you
And then I will make you mine."

"Fall is a lovely time to meet
Summer is gone with all its heat
Will you come to me then?
Will that be when, my sweet?"

Could a longing be more intense
than this longing I have for you?
It hurts deep in my heart, the
Endless miles that keep us apart

When I dream, I dream of you
You fill my daydreams and my
Night dreams are sometimes bliss
When I awake, it's you I miss

It's patience, my love
patience we need
When the time is right
I will come to you

Then our gray skies will be skies of blue
We'll hold hands and walk in the rain
You'll look at me and I at you and
A smile will be our sweet refrain.
When we kiss, we will be
Thankful for the moment
Remembering when
We were far apart

The miles between us a
Watery bridge of discontent
Will be no more, my love
We will be together at last

Until then my love lives far away
In a land I know not
He's sweet, he's kind
He's ever on my mind

Dreaming

Dwindling Only By Time

My mind is intertwined

naked with you

Be it winter or summertime

And in the fall or spring

my thoughts serene

Knowing your fragrant softness

And love making extreme

Yet only in sultry dreams,

never fading, but dwindling only

by time…
