Click hereI wrote this poem as a tribute to the wonderful story, “McKayla’s Miracle” by HLD. It is Maureen’s attempt to deal with the death of one of her mothers.
My Mother is Dying
My mother is dying
I don’t understand
Why is my love
Not enough to save her
My mother is dying
It just isn’t fair
Why does God hate me
He’s taking her away
My mother is dying
My mom is so sad
How can I go on
With only one mom left
My mother is dying
I feel all alone
I want to be strong for her
But I’m too sad to smile
My mother is dying
We have so little time
I want her name as mine
To be her daughter always
My mother is dying
Doctors have failed her
Please don’t forget her
I love her so much
My mother has died
She’s smiling at last
Her pain is all gone
I miss her so much
My mother lives on now
In my memory and mom’s
I will see her again
When my life is done
