My Obsession

I've been thinking about you.
All day
All night
Mornings
Evenings
You crowd my mind,
Of you I think all the time

Pushing away my important thoughts.
You crowd my space,
Nothing else matters,
Only your embrace.

You make it impossible for me to move.
You crowd my dreams, invade my nest.
Making each night an exercise in futility,
I awake tired, needing rest.

I go through my day,
A zombie worn through.
I wake on remote,
Thinking of you.

Why can't I let you go?
Why can't I be free?
Why am I obsessed with you?
Yet, you don't even know me.
Not the true me,
The me that's inside.
You only see,
What I choose not to hide.
