There’s a place I have
Locked away from all sight
I don’t keep it hidden
But the path isn’t bright
It’s not in my home
Or far in a wood
Not along a sunny coast
But a safe-haven, cozy and warm
You can’t get there by plane,
Truck, or boat
And I spend hours there
Lonely yet not quite so
I need you to join me
Just for a moment
In this unexplored place
No one but me has ventured in
And it belongs to me myself
If you open your eyes
You’ll see you have the means
Turn the gears walk through the door
And I’ll shoe you the things
That I treasure most in this world
The place I speak of is right nearby
And I’ll tell you its name to save some time
If you would share this desperate wonder
And the key you would turn
Could show you great things
You’d never hope to find
I’d like to give you a tour of my mind
I want you to know who I am
Inside and out
If you’d take the time to know me
If you’d choose to come and see
I’d help you to better understand
Trust and maybe love
This special little me
