my shadow is always there
protecting me at all times
barely known by others
my second skin
and he knows
my most taboo desires
His hands like steel supports
caring for and
guiding my every step
My shadow is a meteor
safe, sane and consensual
in my head and my heart
subtle trails of fading light behind
