My Beloved is the dawn,
Breaking gently across my soul.
Her beauty warms my heart,
Banishing the night's chill.
My life is not my own, I gave it joyously.

My Beloved is the morning sun,
Passing warmly through my soul.
I gaze in awe, afraid I still lie abed,
For how can such beauty
Be aught but a dream?

My Beloved in the noon day sun,
Searing, consuming my soul.
Seeing her passion leaves me blind, helpless.
I freely consign myself to her fire,
And like the Phoenix I am reborn.

My Beloved is the evening sun,
Sweeping softly over my soul.
She has again carried my heart
Through the day's toils and trials,
Her love is my only strength.

My Beloved is the sunset,
Mending the wounds of my soul.
I see her splendor and it steals my breath.
The sunset is not an ending,
But the promise of another dawn.
