We in the tropics
Sometimes in the heat of summer
Do grudge the sun
It's dazzling brilliance
Which in lines harsh and true
Illuminates
The world that we are.

On such days, in such a time
One wishes
Would that a cloud
Could appear, and diffuse
The dazzle
Soften the harshness
Of what we see.

This high noon of my life,
Such a cloud are you.

The Beauty

To show sunshine as the negative and the cloud as a positive to make a sweet statement of love: this takes talent. (Which you have in spades.)
