I’m looking for a little country girl
Searching high and low in this crazy world
I’m gonna head out and back to my roots
Gonna dust off my cowboy hat and boots

And I just wish I could be found somewhere
A swinging and kicking place you can wear
Faded jeans and tight fitting T-shirt
That doesn’t clash with your gals’ flowing skirt

And Nashville is calling me
And it’s where I wanna be
After leaving this damn town
Happiness is what I found
Within it’s loving embrace
The sweetness that I can taste
Proving it can only be
That Nashville is calling me

The true country music runs through my veins
And burns down deep in my soul when it rains
A country girl’s face and her soft caress
Can only put the fires inside to rest

And Nashville is calling me
And it’s where I wanna be
After leaving this damn town
Happiness is what I found
Removing every trace
Of that dark and lonely place
Proving it can only be
That home’s Nashville, Tennessee
