~~~~~~~~~
Haunted and hollow
and bruised today.
Twelve blurry months of
repressed tears fall
heavily into dark crevasses;
fusing anger and disgust,
sorrow and heartache,
fear and violation.
The cathartic brew
stings a scarred soul;
another memory relived.
Protective damn corroding,
the flood gates of anguish
burst with violent,
racking, childlike sobs
echoing loudly off
the cold green tile floor.
Profound sadness exudes a
harsh harrowing release.
Healing begins on this
dreaded necessary Wednesday.
