do you read my heart, the words spelled out in passion
can you feel my thoughts, radiating from my soul
the feelings I cannot express, the emotions from within
the whispers I utter in silence, that seem to float to your ears
floating across the wind, riding breezes over clouds
crossing the miles, overcoming time, beyond the years
this soul of mine that has longed for such understanding
given that, a long hunger that has been satisfied
to only ignite an inferno even greater, more demanding
the need to discover, to experience so much more
to be washed over by the waves of life
to taste it, feel it, touch it like never before
the flame that has always been there hiding behind these walls
somehow it has escaped, found the strength to feed
bursting forth from within me, unafraid of the fall.
