As I descend from the bowels of debauchary
I prepare myself to face new found mockery

Im through living my old life of sin
I toss it aside with new hopes to win

In this world that rewards only hate and greed
To find a new source of hope is what I need

Ive tried to drown my sorrows in a drink
But down further into sin I only sink

Ive tried to escape in a puff of smoke
But on my own contradictions I only choke

Many times Ive found solice in a girl
But when it ends my mind becomes a swirl

A swirl of confusion and emptiness
fueled by my neverending hoplessness

So as God as my witness on this day
Innocent and pure I will stay
