In the stillness of night
I feel you beside me
content in your dreams
and think of our love,
The comfort within
accented by the
look of content
upon your sleeping face.
How was it to be that
you accepted me into
your life?

Do you see in my eyes
the love that I feel for you
when I see your smile?
How my worries are washed away
and all else becomes secondary?
A lifetime I have waited for you
an eternity I promise in return.

Sleep well my love
and feel my warm embrace.
Tomorrow you awake
with my kiss upon your lips
and hand upon your face
A new day beginning
in the journey of our love.
