Everyday
I stand amazed
At how the sun shines
On your luscious skin
How your eyes reflect
The rainbow whenever you smile
And shed trees begin
To bloom
With leaves whenever
You laugh …
Come to me, my darling
Press your body unto mine:
Keep me warm
Throughout the night,
Enshrine me
Like a cocoon
Wet my face with your lips -
And when I have fallen asleep
Wake me up gently
And this night poem would be finished.
