Night envelopes me, calling
Whispering ghosts from the past
Unlocking doors hidden with care
Releasing memories better forgotten

Whispers of a young man
Worlds of adventure awaits.
Whispers of youth in a forgotten land
where he lived alone with time.

Whispers of regret, unopened doors
Closed with a blind mans cane.
So many chances gone
Narrows the scope of his vision.

Whispers of lost loves never told
Locked away in his heart.
Laughter once was his
Fades with each passing day.

Once again whispers the night
You look at the life you choose.
And know once more the path of light
Awaits after the nightmarish dream.

Lovely!

How achely lovely. As usually you reach deep and pull out a gem.
