I know what I need
I reach out and grasp for it
But I can never have it
Never touch it
Never hold it
Never put it next to my heart
Where it belongs
Yet I keep following it
Relentlessly
It calls for me
It tells me it needs me
But sneaks out of my reach
'tis again so near to my heart
But to capture it's elusive nature
Is nearly impossible of a deed
Will it ever stop to look back at me?
Give me that chance?
I pray it does
I dream it does
Every night
Holding it tight in my minds eye
near'r to my soul
