My bed is cold
My body shivers
Weight of feathers upon me
Threads of wool on my scalp
Warmth escapes me

Until Morpheus claims me

Your bed is cold
Your body relaxed
Light wool on your chest
Feathers under your head
Warmth surrounds you
Sleep eludes you

Aloneness in our bones
Wintry winds in our lungs
Miles apart on an island
Happiness in our hearts
Hope in my soul
Fear in your head
