he's
nineteen years old
our ankles crossing
his arms around me
my hands on
each side of his face
my lips press
his closed eyelids
then the tip of his nose
my lips touch
each of his cheeks
I taste salt
tears
what's wrong
nothing he says
I'm happy he says
I lick the salt
off his cheeks
my lips touch his
his lips meet mine
his tongue pushes
into my mouth
we continue kissing
tenderly
I touch
the soft curve
of his neck
and down his chest
