My lips render promises
in a path of kisses

from the Nirvana
of your neck

to the vale
of your navel

and I whisper your name
with each breath

my tongue breaking
your silence

as you sigh
into the night

did you know?

that Mark Twain is quoted as saying that he would love to dig her ( Jane Austen) up and beat her across the skull with her own shin bone?

I got a kick out of that, I would say the same about Emily Dickinson.

Oh yeah, loved your poem. The brevity and it is so concise. Good work. You got your point across without making it mushy and boring.

best wishes,

NJ

The topography of Eros

Another marvelously erotic poem; another chapter in the special language you use only in love.

Simple, direct, unpretentious — I enjoyed it.
