Your memory still haunts me
So I tell myself you don't need or want me
While common sense taunts me and rightfully calls me a fool.

I know what you are, where you've been, what you've done and who with
And naively I don't seem to care.

But if I am meant to find you again
I will.

I feel sorry because I'm in love
I feel like I'm in love with sorrow.
My emotions too freely given
And outpoured till I'm hollow.

Wish I could love for the moment.
Reel myself in as quick as I let myself go.
Around the world in a cat's cradle like a yo-yo.
But I spin out so fast I don't want to go slow
Around the world in a cat's cradle like a yo-yo.

The paranoia of not knowing pales against the pain of what I already know.

Around the world in a cat's cradle
Like a yo-yo.

I think I could have written this but I don't believe I did. Curious how similar the human experience is.
