In another dream of you,
I heard the newest tune,
and I want so badly
to print how lovely
the feeling struck me
of comfort and amity
just when I thought
I'd battled and fought
until you were done
with me and my one
secret insane belief.
I thought of relief
to come from absence
of this bond in nonsense.
Another dream came
last night, and I blame
all of your denial on lies
to keep me a secret tie
in which you can feel
all no one else can heal.
I was beside you,
and I was above you
as I listened to the song
and nothing was wrong.
Not this time, in the dream
of reality split at the seam.
