No More Disappointments

I come crawling to you,
My head bowed, my heart pounding.
I cannot look at you,
Knowing the disappointment in your eyes.
I ache deep inside myself
For the hurt I am causing you.
Your hand grasps my dark curls.
Pulling my head back to face you,
That punishment eclipses anything I am feeling.
You make me look at you,
And see your disfavor, disappointment and hurt.
Tears escaping from the corners of my eyes.
Your fingers wipe away the tears.
Your hand cradles my chin.
My face is flushed and wet.
I am suffering for the pain I have caused you.
I cannot speak but my eyes beg and ask,
What can I do to make this right again?
