It feels as if everyone else
Should be able to see it
Your skin should be made of ice
Shining hard and brilliant
Not invisible to the world
It feels as if there is no way to balance
In a world spinning so fast
Nothing ever seems to stand still
Except for those moments
That you can never seem to escape
Which hold you captive
Inside of your own head
Everybody should be able to see
Everybody should know
But nothing shows on the outside
And nothing can seem to break in
And no one knows
No one can see the cracks
At the center of everything
That threaten to drag you down
Into a place where your enemies
Surround confound and betray you
And they are all your self
It doesn't matter can't really matter
But that doesn't keep you from feeling
Like it is the end of the world
If only everyone else could see
But it seems like no one else knows
Except you and you are all alone
Because you can't see out
And anything you can't see can't exist
And it feels like no one else knows
And you are all alone
