Once dreaded,
those words now mean freedom.
Once piercing,
those words now mean choices.
Once painful,
those words now mean horizons.
For no one's slut there are
Doors to walk through,
Boundaries to cross,
Chances to take,
Paths to wander.
No one's slut
Feels heartache
but she bears it more lightly.
Feels emptiness
but she fills it differently.
Feels loneliness
but she's learned to caress herself.
No one's slut is now her own.
