No Surrender

Born and bred in Belfast both
Of East and West divide,
The fates conspired and intervened
To make our paths collide.

We made love, we were happy
But others had their say....
They banished us and spat on us,
They made us move away.

But throughout their cruel conjecture
And throughout their threats and frowns,
Each time his body enters mine
Our passion still resounds
