What thoughts twisted inside her?
That searing mentality so strangely
cast in pretty conversation -- abuse
singeing in the depth of her darkness,
the evil so vulgar as suspicions
were confirmed in her screams.
Their voices and laughter ended
in her dreams, the sun rising
into a bloodshot horizon --
her final gasps of mourning.
