Nonbelief

Stretched as a sail
Gathering sour wind
My life with you protrudes an inclement
Aching gale
Fossilized remorse tainted
A chiseled wood etched an obscure
Shape in the middle of the grain

As if the world isn’t slanted enough
Your rock portending heavy in my pocket
Your shifting sand scratching my eyes
And swirling hell devils in my mind
                   Tipping my saned balance

Go ahead…
Speak to me your misdemeanors
And insipid lies
Blue printed and rolled up under your arm
There is just so much falling sky
And me
   Without a bucket to
Catch even one of your        stars
                                                      onus
