None Shall Rejoice
Copyright Don Abdul ©2006

Some folks, so rough
Making your life so tough
The battery, the abuse
Promises of change, no use
Stay in or out, your choice
Whichever, none shall rejoice

Being used
When I need, refused
Unappreciated
Unloved
Stay in or out, your choice
Whichever, none shall rejoice

Selfish partner
Paranoid, suspicious
Spying on you at every corner
Vicious, malicious
Stay in or out, your choice
Whichever, none shall rejoice

Disaster close by
Helpless sobs, your lullaby
Selfish lover
Taking whatever, whenever
Your desire not satiated
To hell, this has gravitated
Stay in or out, your choice
Whichever, none shall rejoice

Now too late
But what a waste
The loving, the laughter
The sharing, old chapter
Where did all go?
That things turned so
‘Tis life or death
Your very breath

Stay in or out, your choice
Tonight, none shall rejoice
