you'd be surprised what this little
town of Ripley New York
has to offer
besides a laundramat/car wash,
a country fair, the post office,
a few denominations of churches;
the one and only bar in town
where the school
is right across the street,
a diner where it is known for its'
fish dinners; the library across
from me that was
renovated from an
old church,
a nice establishment
to get your hair done,
owned and operated
out of the home by Paula.
another place kitty corner
from me that i like to frequent
because of the pizza
and subs i can order
and walk over in 15
minutes to an half hour.
but i'd say the most excitement
occurred a few years back,
just outside of town
on Shortman Rd and just off of Interstate 90
when some of the local faithful
picketed a controversial business
that i didn't know about until
the local television stations
covered the story.
i go there on many occasions
to pick up things i need,
such as a magazine, movie, or lotion.
it does have a believe it or not atmosphere,
especially since this store
has a lot to offer
those that are so very inclined
to wanting to fulfill
some desires-

Yes, these establishments would surely stand out in such small, conservatively bred communities. LOL!
