Not Your Typical ( Proposal )

My thoughts are still reeling, over the events of what took place tonight
As I got a call at work from my girlfriend, who invited me out for dinner
So in getting home, I quickly got ready, to hear a knock at the front door
As standing there she was, in a silky white dress, that made her an angel
An in her hand, she held two roses, giving me one, an she keeping the other
So off to the restaurant we went, to come to instead, a quaint little cafe
Which we talked on an on, never having a lull, in the conversation at all
For just being with her, takes me away, to a place that is just for us
And then she told me, that there was something that she needed to say
Telling me, of just how much, that I have meant to her, in every way
And when she closes her eyes, an looks into the future, this is that she sees
A promise made forever between her an I, a true love, deep with our hearts
Then when she stood up from the table, an walked around the table to me
Time forevermore at that moment, stood still, as she took my very will

So now, as I see her kneeling on a pillow, everyone stopped to look our way
As with a ring in her hand, she asked me, the very words, I wanted to say
