She looked through him, intense, fascinated
Eyes twinkling with disturbed mischief, empty, excited
Blood like wine spreading slowly, shining like an oil slick
She smiles, tongue flickers delicately, searching, tasting
As heat reddens her tender hurting flesh
A show of brightest white teeth behind softly pouting lips
Breasts rise and fall as desire builds within
Tender, sensual, waiting for the next slap or punch.

A giant hand closes tightly around her throat
And her ice, cold eyes pierce that which would be his soul
Fear flickers momentarily, an abyss of darkness in his heart
Will he kill her this time?
Her vision begins to blur, thoughts no longer cohesive
Head lolling about, consciousness lost.
Nothing matters now
The Summerland awaits.

He smiles to himself, sordid, emotionless
Looking down upon her lifeless body
Purple bruises on her tender white flesh
Head dips, tongue flickers, tasting her still warm blood
Trancelike, desire fills him.
Shocked, he awakens
What has he done?
It was a game, nothing more
Out of control, something went wrong.

He drops to his knees, hard, ignoring the pain
His head in his hands, tears falling now
A river from his eyes, he has sacrificed the one he loves
Devoid, emotionless again now
He knows what he must do
The rope feels rough in his hands
No point in leaving a note, no point in heartfelt goodbyes
Nothing matters now
The Summerland awaits.
