love you
need you
want you

such simple statements
so powerful
the subject in each short sentence is unspoken
but understood to be "I"

I love you
I need you
I want you

how odd that being objectified
the object of the verb
to love
to need
to want)
can be so fulfilling

when we were warned
not to let ourselves
be objectified by men
I don't think they fully considered
all the different meanings
that word
could have

I am the object of his affections
the object of his admiration and desire
in fact
I am his entire objective

objectively speaking

this makes me happy
