green like grass in spring
my envy of happiness
flows through me stronger
than my heart can beat

what about me is wrong that
i sit and wait in vain
for the life i long for
which is not to be

i stand up in my mind to say
"I will not settle for this!"
but stop short as i am not at
liberty to speak at this time

my heart states with unsatified longing
that one day i will ba able to fly away
from my discouraging obligations
and happiness will find me at last
