Daughter of june,
Bright Rose,
Tis mine the summer hours,
To charm with love, which knows
No rival among flowers.

Thy perfume scents the air,
Thy blossom is so fair,
The colours of thy blooms - so rare,
Are seen in gardens everywhere.

Daughter of June,
Bright Rose,
Thy thorn is sharp to touch,
So needle sharp, you have a heart,
So strong and staunch
                 - Oh Rose!
