My toe got up and left today,
It didn't even say goodbye,
What was I think or say,
Or walk the same with just the nine?

I guess it was unhappy,
But how was I to know?
After all who ever thinks of,
The feelings of a toe?

I must admit I feel regret,
For now my feet look rather queer,
I should have spent more time with it,
And maybe it would still be here.

I wonder where my toe will go?
And how will it survive?
The world is rather strange these days,
When toes want their own lives.

I better keep the others happy,
So they don't leave as well,
After all without my toes,
Dancing would be hell!

Perhaps I'll get a pedicure,
Or buy some comfort soles,
I'll get some brand new sweat socks,
And throw out the ones with holes.

And maybe if I'm nice enough,
It will come back again,
I suppose I can make do with nine,
But I would rather have all ten!

So here's my warning for you,
Keep your feet both safe and dry,
Or like me you might be telling,
All of your toes goodbye.
