Winds down this mountainside
Travel, travel
I will guide
Map in hand, red line, blue
Green sign white line
Straight and true
Hair pinned up, now fallen down
Not on this map are we found
But we just continue ‘round
Through the brush and over stone
Until you say we are home
Placement strange
This hollow sky
But below is home and I sigh
On this blanket I will lie
Travel, travel
I will guide

I've read a few of your poems, so far, and you're writing some really good stuff. The snake/mountain reference reminds me of one of my poems, Into the Mountains. The repetition of "Travel, travel I will guide" works very nicely. :)
