Old craft of ours,
sieving,
The ship sales,
One shore kills our boredom,
The next one buries it.

From the strait to open sea,
From open sea to a cape,
Keep killing on the left side,
And I'll keep on burring on the right.

The night is boring,
The sea is calm,
If you find a grief in music,
There was a fault in love.

ΠΑΛΙΑ ΜΑΣ ΤΕΧΝΗ ΚΟΣΚΙΝΟ

Παλιά μας τέχνη κόσκινο, σαλπάρει το καράβι,
Σκοτώνει πλήξη ένας γιαλός κι' ο άλλος τήνε θάβει.

Από μπογάζι στ' ανοιχτά κι' απ' τα' ανοιχτά σε κάβο,
Σκότωνε συ αριστερά κι' εγώ δεξιά θα θάβω.

Η νύχτα είναι πληκτική,
Η θάλασσα είναι κάλμα,
Αν βρείς καημό στη μουσική,
Είχε η αγάπη σφάλμα.
