Click hereWhen I was just a little boy, I liked to play and laugh.
For having fun was all that I would need.
As I got older, people said “You’ve got to act your age”
Be more mature or you will not succeed.
A fav’rite trick I used to play when I was still a lad
Was making faces at a photo op
I’d stick my tongue out, cross my eyes or squinch my face up tight
My parents said to me “You’ve gotta stop.”
As I grew up I did the things that people said I should.
I turned mature; oh goodness, how I did.
But somehow, all the fun was gone; my life had turned to gray.
I missed the time I had while still a kid.
But now I’m old and back to having fun like as a boy.
I play again wherever I may go.
So now, when people come and point a camera in my face
I make a face just like the one below.
you must age, you may mature, but grow old---never. TK U MLJ LV NV
When people say 'grow up,' they mean you should surrender; give up those things that give you pleasure and become as miserable as them.
"If wrinkles must be written upon our brow, then let them not be written upon the heart. The Spirit should not grow old."
James Garfield
