To be or not to be, that is the question.
Whether it is in thine eye or in thine heart, the question remains the same.
To follow my heart will bring utmost splender, to follow my eyes will bring immeasurable distrust
She loves me, I know she does
I’m starting to love her too
That’s what I’m afraid of
The last time I fell in love my heart too forever to heal, it still is
How can my heart heal when I long to feel that hurt?

2. Love:
I need you
I long to feel your touch
I need to know you are with me
I need you to rip my heart out
I can’t wait to hate you
My heart aches each time we touch
You know I need to hate you
You know I love to love you

3.You were:
You were the only one who understood me
You were to one who danced on the graves with me
You were the one who laughed when I yelled “burn it all”
You were the only one I knew
You turned your back on me
You are just another face in the crowd
You once were…

I thought that I had actually become something, but a shadow I remain
I met another shadow wishing to be free
One moment I became darkness and the next light
Am I cursed forever between day and night?

5. Choice:
They said it is my choice, to stay or leave, my love or my God
I said, Sorry, my lord I choose my love, if she will take the real me
My love, I lied, I said
My love, I love you still, she said, but I must go
When you leave you take my heart, I said, without you I no longer need it

I forgot to expect the worst
Why did you take her?
Why did you take my love?
Now I’m here, in the cold
What did I do to you?
You give me my soul and take my heart
Take your gaze off of me, let me fade into the shadows I know too well

Draw back your hand, you who made me ache so
The past is behind me, but not the pain
I love you more than ever
I can see you feel the same
Your version of love is odd, you tease and play but are never truly there
Take my hand or turn from me
It is not hard to differ love from convenience

What avail is this shadow?
What avail is this light?
Why am I in this forever night?
Darker and darker I my soul is turning
Every day the light is burning
Cursed by a god that none shall know
Living for a day that may never come
Wandering to the place that I am from

I couldn’t help you

I wasn’t fast enough
I’m sorry
I never got to say goodbye
I’m sorry
I should have seen it sooner
I’m sorry
I never to you what you meant to me
I’m sorry
My arms weren’t strong enough
I’m sorry
I never got to say, I’m sorry

10. Worse
To get over the worst you sing
To get over the past you forget
The only way the worst wins is when you no longer feel
The only way you can win is to change

11. A little time:
I need a little time alone
I need a little time to think
I need a little time to straighten things out
I need a little time to find the truth
I need a little time, just a little

12. One day:
We will be together
I will tell you I love you
You will allow this to be easy
There will be no one else
One day will come, when I do not know

Mirror, mirror on the wall
Why do you show me not at all?
I see the reflection but it is not me
Then who is it that I see?
Is it the part of me that wants to please?
Is that the part of me that can no longer speak his mind?
Is that what I’m afraid to find?

Every time I open my eyes I see mist
I try to see through, but it is to no avail
In this state I can but wonder
Are my eyes the ones that are covered or everyone else’s?

15. The last time:
We should be together, even for a moment
My heart is true and my intentions pure
I would never hurt you, we could be good together

16. Secrets:
Some say secrets are bad, I say they are like people
They can be good or they can be bad
I try to share my secrets but I cannot
Lie upon lie shelters them, I can no longer reveal my soul
Some secrets can no longer be told
I want to tell someone my secrets, the good ones and the bad
Can I tell you my secrets?

Will you be the one who is with me?
Can you be the one?
I want you to be so bad, do you understand my words?

A long time ago someone looked into the sky and wondered why?
Why am I here?
Why has my life happened?
To this day those questions are still asked.
Someone, someday may find the answer, or it could be that someone already has.
Why do we not know it?
Maybe they didn’t like the answer they found.

A kiss is a kiss, a hug is a hug, love is love, lust is lust
But it is lust that turns men to dust
A kiss is a kiss, a hug is a hug, love is love,
But making love is sin
A kiss is a kiss, a hug is a hug,
But what does a hug mean?
A kiss is a kiss,
But one kiss can destroy a life’s work

One moment
A blink of an eye
How fast life can change
One thing
One action
Why do these things affect us?
It takes a lifetime to find where you belong and a moment for it to change

For once I realize, I see
I will only depend upon myself
Who else should I?
I have no god to pray to, no shoulder to cry on
Depend only on myself
First I must find myself

22. Scars:
Natures way of saying slow down
The hearts way of saying stay on your toes
The souls way of dying
Life’s way of saying you’ll be all right
Death’s way of saying almost got you
Self induced beauty marks
How many do you have?

23. Shadow’s Confession:
I try to be the light, I respect the brightness, yet I cannot fully become
I have tasted the darkness, it was sweet for a time, yet I cannot put that behind me
A change to purge myself of the light, after I would still be a shadow
To enjoy who I am fully, yet mourn my loses truly
True yet false, the shadows are still my place

24. Silence
The worst sound and loudest word
The darkest sun and brightest moon
An extreme unto itself

25. A blank page:
So much potential, so much disappointment
A blank page, aren’t we all
Lifeless lines aching for inspiration
Look into my eyes, read every inch of my soul, what do you see?
A blank page
Void of meaning, cause, or hope
Begging for a change
A blank page
