Our movements are choreographed,
scripted and precise.
In stark contrast,
to how we spend our nights.

Your perfect lutz,
has the crowd cheering for more.
Much as you encouraged me,
the night before.

Scripted or not
our bodies coalesce
Performing for a crowd
or during a midnight caress

Swirling faster our climax is approaching
echoing lessons from many nights of coaching

One final caesura
before our routine comes to a close
exhausted and spent
as only an athelete or lover knows

As they broadcast the scores
in the cisalpine city where we reside
we smile and bow
knowing our neighbors hearts swell with pride
