ON A WHIM

He came into my life on a whim and a dime, no money in our pockets and our hearts were doing time.

He told me I was beautiful, as I kissed his smiling face. It may have been the wrong time but our hearts were in the right place.

We tried to say goodbye, with lots of reasons why, and I told him, that I would love
him forever.

There I sat, with my phone in my hand, reminiscing of our nights, making love in the sand.

I know that you love me baby, and you know I love you too- it’s something we both have inside, and my feelings for you, they just won’t hide.

When the love is not a lie, and the passion is so deep inside, I’ll fight my hardest to keep us alive,,,,

cause baby,

It’s you I see,

It’s you I need,

I’m for you, and you’re for me, I want to open up my heart to you, and give you a world that you’ve never seen.

Liked it. You need to concentrate on "showing" rather than telling though. Work on finding the right WORD instead of using a whole sentence. It will make your poetry more compact and effective.
