The sky be tainted blood red crimson,
Morning fresh, reborn from night,
Eerie shadows, darkness binding,
Quickly fade with dawn's first light.

Wispy clouds, some lining golden,
Like choirs their movement seem to sing,
Their flight is slow, alluring, graceful,
As flock of swans taking to wing.

Spring is full of flowers blooming,
A clean sweet fragrance in the air,
I look around; I see a face,
And ask... can anything compare?

Love comes swiftly, gently flowing,
From her heart, straight unto mine,
Soft and warming, sweet and tender,
Like the fruit from tree or vine.

But Spring has gone and winter looming,
'Neath an Oak tree, bare of leaves,
She came and left, her loving taking,
But my heart scarcely believes.

So I sit and wait and wander,
Thinking, musing, what will be,
Will come a day when she is lonely,
And want to spend her life with me?
