Yes, I'm still here;
I just had to get up for awhile----
                            that's all.
You looked
     so peaceful lying there
                            lost in dreams.
Your hair...
     casting soft shadows on the pillow.
The rise and fall of your body----
     each delicate turn of your skin
     showing how much of a woman
                            you are.

It's hard for me when night comes
                            and I'm alone.
I can't help but think of all the time
I've wasted without someone to share
     this private bedroom world
                            of mine.
Then you come along
     with the same wants and needs,
               and it all seems worthwhile.

Yes, you made me happy earlier;
     but tomorrow night will come
               and where will we be then?
